I got the chance the other day to carve out some conversation time with a friend I don’t get to talk to all that often. Out of the blue she shared an observation about something that involves me. It’s funny because several people have already made the exact same comment, separately. It got me thinking -- what is it that makes them say that? Something they’ve observed first hand? Something they just intuit? How weird. My friend even said that the fact that a handful of people have the same sentiment means there could be a grain of truth to it. I have my own notions, but I had no idea those within my circle have a common opinion about it as well. Anyway, honestly, I think it’s moot and academic. And I think people saying it doesn’t necessarily make it true :p
